It is also a flora conservation centre that rescues endangered, native species<\/p>\n

There is an educational and instructive tour with different zones in this 11.000 m2 ecosystem.<\/p>\n

NATIVE PLANTS<\/strong><\/h3>\n

A zone that exhibits species that we can only find in some specific locations of the Valencian Community, such as the Zamarilla de Yesar (a type of germander) native to the Carbonera area, or the Silene Hifacensis plant (a type of campion), also native to our town<\/p>\n

CULINARY, AROMATIC AND MEDICINAL PLANTS<\/strong><\/h3>\n

An area that displays a large number of plants that are representative of our town for their use and customs.<\/p>\n

MEDITERRANEAN MAQUIS<\/strong><\/h3>\n

An area that displays the most representative species of Mediterranean shrubs<\/p>\n

WETLAND AREA<\/strong><\/h3>\n

With a small pond, this area represents aquatic and wetland vegetation. It is also a reservoir for amphibians of our area such as frogs and toads.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

THE EVOLUTION OF FOREST SPECIES <\/strong><\/h3>\n

This area displays forest species that, through genetic selection, have transformed today\u00b4s traditional crops. Wild olive trees and its variety of olives, wild grape vines and all the grape varieties we know, etc…<\/p>\n

GREENHOUSE <\/strong><\/h3>\n

Various local groups use this facility for workshops, school visits, etc\u2026 Activities with different vegetation growth techniques (grafts, seeds, bulbs, stakes, etc\u2026). All these species are then used for local gardening.<\/p>\n

ENVIRONMENTAL PLOTS <\/strong><\/h3>\n

A tool for instructional purposes on environmental agriculture. With various theoretical and practical courses in environmental agriculture.<\/p>\n

WOMEN\u00b4S GARDEN<\/strong><\/h3>\n

That displays species that have been used by women for medicinal purposes since the old days.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

SILENE GARDEN<\/strong><\/h3>\n

A space created along with the forest investigation and experimental centre (CIEF) of the Valencian Government, it has become the largest recovery centre for the Silene Hifacensis campion plant, an endangered native species threatened with extinction.<\/p>\n

This centre has the largest number of reproductive species in Spain, receiving the Blue Centre award in 2018, a symbol of its quality and excellence.
